Sustainability & SDS
SDS Ltd are committed to making tomorrow a better place. To that effect, we have sustainability and environmental policies in place and ensure we are held to them.
Environmental Responsibility
SDS Ltd consumes energy as part of our day-to-day operation in our offices and to obviously power our screens and repairs department.
SDS Ltd limits wastage of electricity by voluntarily turning off light switches during the summer and lighter months to reduce electricity wastage, and in more sensitive locations, such as our repairs centre, override our technology to deliver brightness levels lower than those used by others in our industry.
Outside of the operational hours, SDS Ltd do not use any property lights of heating facility, which benefits our neighbours, the environment and wildlife.
Sustainability in our procurement
SDS Ltd are proud to stock and sell refurbished items and where possible, SDS Ltd endeavour to repair equipment rather than replace it with a new unit.
SDS Ltd.’s procurement policy ensures our suppliers are making pledges and adhering to environmentally friendly processes to drive sustainability reduce our corporate waste, and to stay actively involved to reduce our combined environmental footprint.
It’s not only about how we conduct ourselves, but also about how the people we do business with conduct themselves.
At SDS Ltd, strategic partners are vetted before they can join our suppliers list. Where relevant, suppliers need to have an environmental policy that is communicated to us whilst simultaneously continuing to improve their carbon footprint.
Each company on our list of registered suppliers needs to have processes in place that match with our own environmental goals, which we continue to monitor and review to ensure ongoing compliance.
