Can you repair my drive?

Our SDS engineers ensure anything that can be fixed – is fixed. Drive Repairs can be arranged post inspection and are offered at a rate of £75.00 per hour plus parts. An accurate quote for time and costs will be provided as part of the prescribed repair solution, included in the SDS Inspection packages.

What happens if my Drive cannot be repaired?

If your Drive cannot be repaired and is BER, SDS offer 2 options; we can scrap the item locally for you or return the item to you once you have paid for the postage.

Do you offer a like-for-like item whilst mine is being repaired?

In critical situations, SDS can offer a reconditioned unit as a temporary replacement whilst yours is being repaired, and so your operation can keep going in the meantime. This service is of course subject to availability.

Do I need to book an inspection before the item can be repaired?

At SDS, we cannot repair an item before we have been able to inspect it. Every inspection at SDS includes a full diagnosis and prescription so you can decide the best course of action to take.

How long does it take to repair a drive?

Drive repairs can be simple, and they can be equally complex, it completely depends on the fault and additionally, the availability of the parts needed to fix the issue, so to determine how long the process will take. At any time, SDS has one of the largest stocked warehouses in the UK, which assists in speeding up the repair process. We also have engineers who are specialist in getting your drive and system back to their activity and performance.
