SDS Drives Repair Centre is a subdivision of SDS Drives UK, the world’s largest certified distributor for Parker SSD Electromechanical products. SDS Drives Repair Centre is the UK’s only certified “Tier 2” repair agents.

SDS Drives Repair Centre was formed in 2005 as part of SDS Drives strategy to ensure optimum support for OEM’s and end-users with old, fatigued Eurotherm Drives Systems.

Acknowledging that obsolescence of particular SSD & Eurotherm Drives offer customers no option other than to replace large sections of their control systems, SDS are able to offer spares and repairs with minimal turn-around times. By doing so, are able to offer our customers a working solution whist considering the best route forward in way of upgrade plans, repairs or replacements.

In 2015 SDS Drives were certified by Parker Hannifin as their UK’s only “Tier 2” authorised repair centre. Trained SDS Drives engineers are now able to repair, dynamically test & functionally test their products with the same level of guarantee as Parker themselves.

Our UK repair centre can be used in conjunction with our global drives support network, enabling us to provide the very best in technical support and customers service from anywhere in the world.

To arrange a repair, follow these 4 simple steps:

Step 1 – Request a Return

Give us some details about the faulty unit you’d like to return. You can use one of our blank “Request to Return” forms as many times as you like. Just print them, fill them in, attach to the unit you’d like to return and send.

Step 2 – Authorisation & Assessment

Using the “Request to Return” form in step 1 (which was gratefully attached to the box), SDS will identify the unit on its return. We’ll book it in and allocate a specialist engineer to inspect and prepare it for cost analysis.

Returns Address:

SDS Drives Repair Centre Unit 6, St Marting Park, Moorend Farm Avenue, Cabot Park, Avonmouth, Bristol, BS11 0RS

Step 3 – Job Costing & Solution Consultation

Upon assessment of the unit, the specialist engineer will either be able to provide you with a quotation for repair or, in some cases, deem the unit beyond economical repair. In any case, you’ll receive a quotation with a minimum of 1 option. In most cases, SDS will offer at least 3 options; Repair, Refurbished Replacement & Upgrade Option. In many cases, we are able to offer variable turnaround times – from our standard 15-day, all the way down to a single-day turnaround.

In some more difficult cases, it may be necessary for us to understand the machine, application or environment conditions to help us further diagnose the failure. If further information is required, our engineer will liaise with you directly. We hold over £25,000 worth of SSD, Eurotherm & Parker SSD drive spares in stock, but on some occasions it will be necessary for us to order parts in.

Step 4 – Repair & Return

Once the repair has been carried out, the once-faulty unit will undergo rigorous dynamic and functional testing. In some cases, the unit will be tested under load. All repairs returned to SDS will be flash tested before given a clean bill of health and dispatched back to yourselves.

All SDS Drive Repairs come with a 1-year warranty.
